J&B Bronco Breaker & Horse Training
By Jade Ann Byrne · Bronco Buster · Rodeo Veteran · Horsewoman of Legend
About Jade Ann Byrne
Bigger than life and twice as wild, Jade Ann Byrne has spent a lifetime in the saddle — breaking out two-year-olds, bucking broncs, and turning green-broke horses into bomb-proof partners. From rodeo arenas to fox-hunt fields, she’s done it all: bareback bronc riding, team penning, bull dogging, mounted shooting with pistols, rifles, and shotguns. She’s a proud member of the Golden Horseshoe Club and The Quarter Horse Club, and a familiar voice as announcer at gymkhannas across California.
She’s pulled calves at midnight, foaled mares barehanded, dabbled in farriery, styled horse tails, and knows the strange alchemy of breeding barns. Search & Rescue has called her, the rodeo knows her, and the horses respect her. Some folks call her a horse whisperer — but really, she’s a bronco breaker with a laugh as loud as a six-shooter.

Tall Tales & Lore
Around the campfire or under the arena lights, the stories of Jade Ann Byrne grow taller with every telling. They say she once broke a bronc with nothing but a rope halter and a prayer. Another time, she bulldogged a steer in heels and a dress — and won the buckle. Some swear she shot six balloons off horseback with a shotgun while reciting Irish poetry. Whether the tales are true or not, the legend is real.
And if you ask her why she’s always got breeding barns on her mind? She’ll grin, toss her braid, and say: “Why do I always want to breed? Maybe ‘cause I’m half horse myself.”
